Go wild
contemporary art - the world of imagination and play
Think of Go wild as an exhibition of the mind – ‘an ideas exhibition’. It is a collection of activities and objects that lead us to explore possibilities and engage with the world around us.
Artist John Robinson has brought together works and objects that he sees as curious and valuable in the discourse about the nature of art.
For him the question of ‘what is art?’ is not important. What is important is the notion of extending thinking, expanding ourselves as human beings. He believes that if the definition of art limits self expression then the definition needs to be rewritten.
Art has the potential to transcend our ordinary lives and guide us to reconsider the usual; imagine and dream about what is possible. John has applied these beliefs when working with local artists and collectors to assemble a body of work that explores the dangerous, the fantastic and the passionate.
Go wild brings together the works and objects by Brad Barlow, Malcolm Cassidy, Debra Ducrou, Larry Ecker, Glenn Lamprecht, James Lamar Peterson, Tricia Reust, Fran Robinson and John Robinson
Take a journey of imagination and art. Enjoy the experience.
